If you have a site online through which you make online transactions, then it is important that you know where you are ranked for your selected keywords. Finding out where you rank is not as easy as you might think, particularly if you have more than one website. Finding good reliable software is difficult but not impossible. If you are an SEO company, you will be judged by your results, and your reports form an important part of that process. Your clients need to be able to see usable data that will reassure them that you are working hard on their behalf.
Your Clients will not understand your business as well as you do, so information needs to be provided that will help them to see improvement. Good software should allow this, so you can show your clients their ranking improvements month on month as well as the growth in link volumes which is driving the improvements for their site. Your clients will probably not understand the finite workings of SEO, but by providing some KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) you will enable your relationship with them to grow.
